Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the operations team supporting various production units. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: McCook, IL

Pay Range: $32-$38

What's the Job?

Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for issues; using measuring and testing instruments. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, utilizing hand and power tools. Unload hazardous materials to storage vessels safely. Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needs.

What's Needed?

Proficiency with hand and power tools. Basic skills in grinding, cutting, and brazing. General mechanical maintenance knowledge, including basic wiring and small motor repair. Familiarity with hot work permitting and lockout/tagout procedures. Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
