Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** You will be responsible for all manufacturing equipment systems on site. This includes performing preventive maintenance and unscheduled maintenance orders for legacy equipment systems on fluid handling lines. Additionally, you will maintain the Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) systems every morning at 4 am. You will troubleshoot equipment, document fixtures, and take necessary notes during work orders. You will also assemble and modify tooling, fixtures, and other equipment systems on site. Utilizing electrical and pneumatic schematics, you will train and understand legacy OMS equipment and collaborate with team members to assist with other work orders when needed. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive maintenance and unscheduled maintenance on legacy equipment systems. + Maintain Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) systems every morning at 4 am. + Troubleshoot equipment and document necessary fixtures and notes during work orders. + Assemble and modify tooling, fixtures, and other equipment systems on site. + Use electrical and pneumatic schematics to train and understand legacy OMS equipment. + Collaborate with team members to assist with other work orders as needed. **Essential Skills** + 5 years of experience in PLC troubleshooting, including editing ladder logic by plugging in a laptop. + 2 years of experience in repairing hydraulics and pneumatics. + Ability to troubleshoot PLCs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in bio pharma, medical device, or food industries. + Experience inputting basic information into Excel sheets. + Supervisory experience (not necessarily as a supervisor). + TMA certificate. **Why Work Here?** Luminex Northbrook is growing and has been chosen as the new production development site, offering significant growth opportunities for the engineering and maintenance team. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 2:30 pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday, with an alternative schedule of Tuesday to Friday from 4 am to 2:30 pm. **Job Type & Location** This position is based out of Northbrook, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
