Adecco Is looking for a **Maintenance Technician** for our Client located in McCook, IL. **Pay: $32-38/hr.** **Hours: 8a - 5p** **Temp to hire position.** **Job Summary** Maintenance Technicians ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs and preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic systems, and other production machines. Must be proficient with hand and power tools, have basic grinding, cutting, and brazing skills, and must have general mechanical maintenance skills and knowledge including basic wiring, pipe fitting, and small motor repair. Must be familiar with hot work permitting and lockout tagout. **Primary Responsibilities** + Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments. + Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hand and power tools. + Unload hazardous materials to storage vessels + Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. + Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. + Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. + Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. + Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. + Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. + Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
