Our client, in Greenville, Texas is seeking a temporary Maintenance Technician Aid to join their team. The ideal candidate will have using maintenance skills, hand tools experience, and heavy lifting which will align successfully in the organization.

Shift Information: Morning Shift, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Thursday

Job Summary

This role involves performing preventive maintenance tasks, assisting maintenance technicians, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Tasks & Responsibilities Develop, modify, perform, and record assigned preventive maintenance tasks. Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, and adjustment of packaging, palletizing, and other equipment. Maintain housekeeping standards to provide a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Perform building maintenance tasks such as lighting, minor plumbing, and fire protection systems. Assist maintenance technicians throughout the shift. Refill propane throughout the dayshift schedule and log entries. Dump sawdust hoppers as scheduled and log entries. Keep areas around trash compactors and compressor area clean. Monitor the three baghouses and make rounds throughout the shift to check on them. Check the sprinkler system for the warehouse, including the two valve stations and pump room. Address lighting and water leaks, drain water in the compressor, and manage the heat system during winter months.Qualifications & Experience Preferred maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Technical knowledge and maintenance experience with production-related equipment. Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding skills. Proper use of torch rig, electrical hand tools, grinders, drill motors, die grinders, band saw, and bench grinder. Ability to lift 50lbs, and climb ladders. High School diploma or GED required; technical education is a plus. Effective communication skills. Highly alert, self-motivated individual who can work independently.Technical Skills Must have experience with hand tools. Forklift operation is not required. Saw operation is not required. Machinery operation is not required.
