Your role and responsibilities

Maintenance B Technician:•\tTroubleshoot & repair machine electrical/electronics. •\tOperate all machine electrical tools. Interpret electrical schematics and prints. •\tComplete knowledge of electronic principles as they apply to industrial machinery and controls which would enable diagnosing problems and repairing servo-motors, electronic controls, processors, and other similar equipment. •\t Must be knowledgeable of how to locate information to enable repair of new equipment. •\tEnsures the maintenance shop area is organized, neat and clean. Identifies and acts immediately regarding any safety hazards, spills, etc. to avoid the risk of accidents. Uses safe lifting techniques and operates power equipment in a safe manner. Abide by all stated regulations while performing work, i.e., lockout/tag out procedures, etc. Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts and repairs. •\tPerforms preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to maintain equipment•\tInspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates. •\tInspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses, and coils. •\tInspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps. •\tPlace safety in the workplace above all else•\tWork closely with machine operators•\tWork any overtime•\tOther duties as assigned

Qualifications for the role

Education and Experience Needed:\tHS Diploma or equivalent required\tIndustrial Maintenance or similar type Associate's degree or in lieu of degree 2 years’ related experience in maintenance and/or education\t3+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred\tKnowledge of the fundamentals of industrial electrical application, pneumatics, hydraulics and control systems\tPLC troubleshooting and controls experience/knowledge highly desired.\tKnowledge of the fundamental of industrial electrical application, pneumatics, and control systems highly desired. Specialized skills or other requirements:\tProfessional written and oral skills are essential\tAbility to read prints and technical manuals.\tAbility to trouble-shoot and repair heavy machinery.\tAdvanced understanding of Machine operations and diagnostics.\tAbility to effectively diagnose machine malfunctions and concisely communicate detailed root cause(s) of malfunctions.\tAbility to adapt to new technologies and manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines.\tAdaptable to change and ability to cross-train.\tStrong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.\tMust be willing to attend classes for additional job-related training.
