Job Description

• Maintain operating condition and perform preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment in designated area - including CNC equipment, SMT Equipment, Test Fixtures.
• Perform emergency breakdown repair, re-alignment, disassemble and reassemble on the assigned equipment to assure that equipment is readily available to meet customer production requirements.
• Perform diagnostics of CNC equipment to assure performance within manufacturer established parameters.
• Assist in the installation and rearrangement of production equipment according to plant layouts and drawings following Bosch's policies, which ultimately facilitate production needs.
• Assist fellow technicians as required to perform PM and work overloads to assure equipment maintenance requirements are performed on a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively to fellow technicians, operation personnel and area leadership status of work performed.
• Plan, prioritize and schedule work by effectively communicating with Production Teams to assure adequate time is allowed for repairs and PM of production equipment. Additional communication may include, but is not limited to, information and meeting settings.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and continuous improvement of Preventative Maintenance procedures.
• Assist in developing Autonomous Maintenance procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas.
• Assist with routine administrative tasks and department back-up functions associated with assuring that the department and team goals are supported, monitored and attained.
• Continually monitor repair methods, processes and procedures to assure meeting departmental and divisional safety and performance goals in order to maintain or improve cost competitiveness. Work as a team member to determine and implement necessary changes.
• Follow and continually monitor established safety procedures, such as lockout/tagout program, to assure a safe work environment is promoted and maintained.
• Provide quality in everything delivered (goods and services) to internal and external customers through an approach of thorough planning, responsible implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with suppliers for replacement parts, services, support, including delivery.

Qualifications

• 2 year technical degree in Electronics, Mechanics or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability and proven knowledge in the following: Safety practices at the workplace, General Maintenance in the following: Mechanics, Machine Tool Mechanics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Motors and Motor Controls, Basic Electrical, CNC Machining, Industrial Robotics Systems, and Fabricating
• Basic knowledge of various types of spindles, bearings, gears, belts, chains, clutches, brakes, couplings, and mechanical drive assemblies
• Basic problem solving skills
• Effective time management
• Basic knowledge of various types of electrical drive motors and control systems
• Basic knowledge of PLC ladder for troubleshooting.
• Basic machine setup and operation
• Familiarity with the concept of Total Productive Maintenance
• Familiarity with Lean 5S
• Familiarity with various CNC controls - Mazak, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Siemens, and DMG controls preferred
• Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Basic PC and On-line computing skills - Microsoft Office tools and CMMS skills preferred.
• Basic math skills including: percentages, geometry, algebra and trigonometry
• Ability to communicate effectively and in an informative manner
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Ability to install and service basic auxiliary equipment such as conveyors, motors, reservoir/tanks, fans, filtration systems, etc.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment with assistance of other technicians and/or equipment manuals
• Willing to pursue further development as required to meet department objectives. Willing to travel.
• Ability to use basic maintenance diagnostic/inspection tools such as multi-meters, infrared scanners, caliper, leak detectors, gages, measuring tape, etc

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $27.50 - $36.00 per hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
