MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

POSITION OVERVIEW • Under the direction of the Team Manager, and Eng/Maintenance Manager, the Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical equipment and making repairs. RESPONSIBILITIES • Troubleshooting and repairs • Machine adjustments with tools • Minor fabrication of parts • Electrical troubleshooting and repairs • Read schematics and blueprints • Preventive maintenance • Follow Master sanitation schedule • Product changeover • Implement ideas to improve line efficiencies • Quality checks REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Must have at least three (3) years industrial maintenance experience. • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. • Must be very detail oriented and have strong interpersonal, communication and team-based skills. • Being a self-starter as well as a problem-solver are required assets. • Able to work 2nd shift, 2pm-10:30pm • Able to work overtime, planned and unexpected • Able to work weekends as needed • High school diploma or equivalent Current McCormick employees who meet these qualifications and are interested in pursuing this position must notify their direct supervisor and their unit HR representative prior to applying.
