JOB SUMMARY\n

This Maintenance Technician I position performs labor intensive tasks and routine maintenance to equipment on a daily basis for the City of Conroe's Wastewater Treatment Plants. \n

QUALIFICATIONS\n

Education and Experience:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent with six months of minimum experience.\nMust possess a valid Class C driver's license.\n\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: \n\nKnowledge of wastewater treatment plants.\nSkill in operating a variety of equipment.\nAbility to obtain relevant certifications or licenses.\nAbility to understand and follow the City of Conroe and departmental policies and procedures.\nAbility to understand and follow written and oral instructions. \n\n

PHYSICAL DEMANDS\n

The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and\/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and\/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.\n
