 Reporting to an under the supervision of the Facilities Management Director, the Maintenance Tech II is responsible for processing work orders in accordance with SGVMC policies.

 

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support San Gabriel Valley Medical Center’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Responsibilities Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Facilities Department. Assist in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas. Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required. Assists in maintaining electrical wiring and emergency generators system. Inspects and test equipment and systems as required. Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structure of the hospital and complies with all building safety codes. Assist in replacing, installing, repairing and testing; electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, lighting systems as required. Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system. Follows manufacture guidelines, interprets instructions and prepares specifications.Work day, evening or night shift as assigned. Ability to do work on his/her own with only normal supervision. Demonstrates ability to organized time, prioritize activities and solve problems. Interacts effectively with staff, fellow employees and maintains polite, professional demeanor. Attends and actively participates in department meetings. Keeps director informed of all problems, critical issues, and/or new requirements as they occur.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience

High school graduate or equivalent.Previous facilities experience (preferred)Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

 

Licenses/Certifications
