This role will support the Joints Tech Ops team within DePuy Synthes and focus on the installation, maintenance, and repairs of manufacturing equipment while ensuring appropriate records are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Maintains manufacturing equipment which may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systemsPerforms installation, setups, and changeovers of machineryTests and adjusts as neededRepairs malfunctioning equipmentIdentifies and implements process improvementsUpdates required documentation including maintenance and repair logsAssists with trouble report preparation for malfunctioning equipmentReads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceApplies safety procedures to all workOrders parts and supplies in accordance with department proceduresResponsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management levelPerforms other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

Education:

Vocational, Certificate, Technical or Associates2-4 Years Work Experience

Experience and Skills:

Required:

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsRelated equipment maintenance experience and/or trainingAble to work in an ISO Class 8 Clean Room environment requiring gowningBasic Computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer) requiredAble to supply own hand tools/rollaway toolbox (i.e., screw drivers, socket wrenches, etc.)Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to support cross functional teams including Quality, Operations EngineeringThe ability to lift heavy loads. Stand and/or walk more than 90% of the time and perform twisting and turning activities and in a manufacturing/machine shop environment is requiredMust be able to be On Call for a week every other month as required to support 24/7 manufacturing operations

Preferred:

Training in machining operations and/or electrical/electronicClean room experience is a plusThe ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematicsExperience with automation including highly complex mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, PLC, and motion controllers.
