Distrigas’ Everett Marine Terminal is driven by the core precepts of safety, reliability, and flexibility to meet customers’ real time demands, while being stewards of the environment, with primary responsibility to ensure that all plant process and storage systems will safely receive, store, and deliver at their rated capacity. This person will be a member of Union Local 369 and the Maintenance Group in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and distribution terminal regulated under 49 CFR 193. Primary responsibility is to ensure that all plant process and storage systems will safely receive, store, and deliver at their rated capacity. **PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES** + Responsible for performing preventative, compliance, and corrective maintenance inspections of instruments that makes up the receiving, storage, & delivery systems at the Everett marine terminal. + Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair complex instrumentation, control circuits, and other equipment used in the execution of LNG operations. + Document detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration results for compliance and analysis. + Trend process variables through control systems, identify trends and determine related actions to maintain reliable and safe LNG operations. + Troubleshoot PLC and HMI issues, including communications, databases, PLC configuration, etc. + Collaborate with engineering in planning and designing new plant systems and modification of existing systems to improve system efficiencies. + Perform duties required during the unloading of LNG ships. + Perform periodic backup on all DCS, Hazard Detection, and Seismic monitoring systems + Ensure that safety remains the top priority on all tasks performed. + Assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring all plant systems meet State and Federal Code Requirements. + Ability to prepare, review, revise, start-up operating and maintenance procedures. + Provides contractor oversight which includes but is not limited to the following: + Ensures proper permits are filled out and followed, + Ensures the appropriate PPE is being worn, + Ensures safety procedures are being followed, + Ensure appropriate equipment is being utilized, and + Ensures compliance of OSHA Lockout, Tag-out procedures. + Lead maintenance related project tasks. + Complies with all Distrigas policies and procedures. **Other Functions** + Trained on environmental procedures annually. + Maintains the facility recognizing the environmental consequences of actions taken. + Maintains to strive for the lowest reasonable environmental impacts. + Acts with integrity, utilizes their safety and operational excellence, and promotes respect, belonging, diversity and equity. + Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Company’s auto insurance program. + Carries out other duties as assigned. + TWIC card required. (Federal Government background check) + Required to pass written and practical examinations. + Must meet physical requirements of 49 CFR 193. **Essential Physical Abilities** + Ability to lift and move various pieces of equipment. + Ability to carry a tool kit and other equipment to top of LNG tank (200+ steps) or LNG carrier. + Ability to work at heights and scale vertical steel ladders up to forty feet or more. + Physically capable of entering and working in a confined space. + Ability work in any element (wind, snow, rain; etc.) 70% of the time. + Ability to meet the highest attendance requirements + Ability to respond to problems on short or no notice + All responsibilities must be met within Maintenance Group; this can include working scheduled and unscheduled overtime, holidays, weekends, and nights. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** + Strong understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic principle, as well as familiarity with control system logic + Knowledge of various types of industrial instrumentation used in LNG operations, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices. + Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in instrumentation and control systems. + Knowledge to safely secure, remove, repair or replace and reinstall faulty equipment in the safest, most effective method. + Ability to read and interpret installation specifications, electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), process flow diagrams (PFD), and cause and effects diagrams to ensure each task is safely completed + Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs and eager to learn new programs/software/systems. + Ability to see the big picture and understand work processes involved on a detailed level. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment + Ability to work well under strain and to exercise good judgment, particularly in unexpected or abnormal situations. + Ability to oversee contractors utilizing safe work practices. + Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and dependability in all work practices. **Working Environment** + 30% Indoors + 70% Outdoors + High School Graduate with Mechanical Technical School or Military training helpful. + Petro Chemical or power plant experience a plus.
