Maintenance Technician (Live-In Position)

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Maintenance Tasks: Diagnose and repair problems in such areas as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features (pools, spas, etc.), fitness equipment, and waste management systems. Teamwork: Collaborate with property management and fellow maintenance team members to coordinate repairs, maintenance schedules and unit turns. Safety: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and promptly address them. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any concerns to Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their maintenance needs with a friendly and approachable attitude. Be a responsive and reliable point of contact for all maintenance inquiries. Trash Removal: Maintain community by promptly removing trash, debris, and recycling materials from designated areas. Ensure all waste is properly disposed of in accordance with recycling and environmental guidelines. Problem Solving: Address maintenance requests from residents promptly and efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and appliances, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment. Collaborative Leadership: Assist in the preparation of staff work and preventive maintenance schedules, daily rounds, as well as maintaining an inventory of supplies and tools sufficient for providing the appropriate level of service. COMPENSATION $24 - $26 / hour with an annual bonus that is tied to performance Fully comped onsite unit - 1 bedroom Qualifications WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR You have 2 to 5 years of maintenance/facilities experience in multi-unit residential housing or in hospitality. You’re able to work our emergency on-call rotation as needed, can lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for an 8-hour shift. You have your HVAC certification You have knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, fitness equipment, waste management systems You are committed to the mission of exceeding expectations and providing exceptional resident services.
