Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machinesTroubleshoot and repair production machines in a timely manner always keeping safety in mindWorking knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial settingHydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair experienceFabricate repair parts by using machine/welding shop instrumentation and equipmentAssist in installation of new & used machinery including necessary plumbing, electrical, air, water, gas, etc.Maintain good quality workmanship, housekeeping and observe all safety rules and regulations for self and otherPerform other duties as necessary

What it takes

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma plus two years of applicable trade school training or two years experience as an Industrial Mechanic or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be skilled in metal fabrication, SMAW and GMAW welding processesMust have a high degree of flexibility, and be willing to respond as needed to production schedules and equipment outagesMust have working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial settingMust be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities to perform the above dutiesMust have good organizational and communications skills
