Summary
This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. The Maintenance Training Supervisor is responsible for planning and execution of the Maintenance Training Program. This includes coordinating and preparing training literature manuals systems and leading class instruction on the fundamentals of mechanical electrical pneumatic refrigeration and other job related maintenance subjects; maintaining training aids student records and scheduling classes; performing maintenance orientation training for new maintenance team members; interfacing with appropriate vendors concerning training content and delivery; coordinating and leading safety training of the maintenance department; coordinating administering and assessing hands-on training requirements of maintenance personnel; perform duties as a maintenance scheduler; assist with maintenance planning; and performing other tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 4 plus years industrial maintenance experience required. Additional experience in refrigeration maintenance is preferred. Computer Skills: Competent in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and the ability to learn Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance system. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills. Special Skills: Strong management skills; sound judgment leadership organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision. The hours of the position vary depending on the needs of the Team Members. Certifications: Certifications in any training topics or techniques is a plus.
