Job Description
The Mammalian Cell Processing Specialist exercises extreme accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to adjust to a flexible and sometimes unpredictable work schedule. The work requires specialized training and GMP grade conditions, as well as manual and automated processing. Knowledge of cell culture and flow cytometry is required. The ability to document in adherence with GMP/GDP guidelines is essential.
ResponsibilitiesAdhere to GMP guidelines in a cleanroom (ISO7) environmentPerform flow cytometry to assess cell viability/countPerform isolation of HSCs, NK, and T-cellsPerform calculations during processing to assess product yieldsUse aseptic techniques while performing cell processing proceduresInvestigate and resolve problems with procedures or processesPerform validation processes on new instruments and equipmentPerform sterility and environmental monitoring testing with QC specialistWork closely with QC specialist and QA departmentEnsure documentation is accurate, complete, comprehensive, and maintainedCollect and label required laboratory samples and create and maintain accurate and complete result reports, processing worksheets, and cryopreservation recordsPerform quality control and preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment and maintain complete and accurate recordsPractice proper safety techniques and report any unsafe conditionsPerform other duties and procedures as assignedEssential SkillsCell cultureCell therapyFlow cytometryMammalian Cell CultureGMPCell biologyCell isolationHEKCHOMSCAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in cGMP requirements highly preferredExperience in flow cytometry assays and interpretations preferred (Cytoflex)Knowledge of sterile techniques requiredKnowledge of the use of liquid nitrogen to provide a safe, compliant, and cost-effective cryogenic environmentExperience with microbiological testing preferredExperience with CliniMACS Prodigy preferredWork Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85
