Get to Know Your Team: BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs and three private infusion rooms for families. Responsibilities Mammography technologists will provide patient services using various imaging modalities, which may include stereotactic and breast MRI. Mammographer's are expected to perform screening and diagnostic procedures in a fast-paced environment. Need to exercise critical thinking skills, be able to troubleshoot, and be able to manage stress. Technologists follow the direction of the Breast Center Radiologist and establish procedures/protocols. Shifts are spent with extensive time on their feet and standing. When performing exams, technologists must adhere to all radiation safety precautions. Technologists must be available to complete exams at the main facility (HBC), detached facilities, and outreach settings. Technologist is responsible for the quality of images, positioning skills, and the basic knowledge of quality control tests. Qualifications Job Requirements: ARRT Certification in Radiological Technology Texas Department of Health License CPR Preferred Job Requirements: 1 year experience in screening and diagnostic procedures Experience in performing QC tests Basic knowledge of stereotactic biopsies Associate Degree or Certificate required from a CAHEA approved Radiological Technology Program Mammo registry.
