Summary

Position Highlights:

Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms utilizing mammography equipment and following all safety guidelines relating to radiation exposure.  Must possess a thorough knowledge of medical terminology and patient flow process as it relates to the breast clinic and our department.  Must maintain State License, ARRT, and CPR certifications. Must maintain competence in providing care to young adults, middle age adults and older adults. Must maintain and practice Radiation Safety at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

Will have competency in all aspects of Radiology, patient positioning, and radiation Protection. Has an associate degree in Radiology. Has over one year experience in Mammography.

Responsibilities:

Performs Screening and diagnostic Mammogram procedure. Performs Stereotactic, needle localizations or Bone Density (DXA) examinations. Understands and is able to demonstrate knowledge of Pacscan, RadNet, Capstone, Powerchart, Tracking Board, RadNet Work-list, Hi-IQ and GE PACS and any other systems necessary to perform the duties.

Credentials and Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree - Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent required. At least one year experience in mammography required. Competency in all aspects of Radiology, patient positioning and radiation protection required. ARRT (RT) certification /Advanced ARRT Mammography required FL state license required BLS certification required
