Managed Care Executive

The ideal candidate will reside in NC, SC, VA, DC, or MD.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development of new managed care relationships, as well as the retention and growth of existing regional managed care plans within the Mid-Atlantic area.Act as liaison for implementation of initiatives for national managed care organizations.Negotiate new agreements and manage existing agreements between Labcorp and its managed care organization clients. Provide oversight to ensure contractual deliverables and service levels are met. Negotiate as appropriate to arrive at cost-effective, client friendly solutions.Establish, build and maintain positive, professional relationships at all decision levels within managed care organizations.Reinforce our superiority as the national laboratory service and information leader in the healthcare industry.Demonstrate value-added solutions using a professional consultative approach.Work in conjunction with the Regional Managers of Business Development to identify additional new business opportunities.Assume responsibility and accountability for assigned managed care revenue retention. Provide input for service enhancement and new service innovation. Communicate and resolve issues, concerns and problems in a solution-oriented manner.Keep management and the sales team apprised of competitive activity within assigned region/accounts.Provide management with timely reporting as required and requested.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate college degreeNormally requires a valid driver's license along with a clean driving record. Must be able to travel within assigned territory.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience, required:Ability to increase productivity, plan penetration, and collaboration with the ACO, hospital and physician sales teams3+ years, successful account management or sales experience in the healthcare industry specializing in Managed CareProven experience collaborating with various internal stakeholders, such as Legal, Revenue Cycle Management, IT, Quality team.Strong understanding of managed care organizations and providers (i.e., health plans, contracting fees.)Experience in contract and financial negotiationConsultative sales experience calling on all levels within a managed care organizationDemonstrate strong financial and contracting acumen

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate level degree5+ years, successful account management or sales experience in the healthcare industry at the c-suite level specializing in managed careProficient in MS Office - Excel (creating spreadsheets) and PowerPoint (creating sales presentations)Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-orientedAbility to build strong and positive business relationshipsAbility to motivate in a team settingAbility to exhibit strong time management, organizational and research skills

Application Window: Through 1/17/25

Pay Range: $90,000 - $135,000 base salary

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Variable Compensation Sales:

The position is also eligible for bonus and/or commissions under the applicable variable compensation plan.  Bonus/commissions are earned based on achievement of performance metrics under the plan.
