Position Purpose: The pharmacy intern will learn both clinical and business skills that will prepare them for a career in managed care pharmacy. They will primarily work with pharmacists to support clinical and operational quality improvement initiatives. 

 

Duties:

Analyze pharmacy/medical claims data to improve quality or cost-effectiveness of careReview drug information literature to make evidence-based clinical decisionsReview literature to determine and implement opportunities to advance health equitySupport quality initiatives to improve appropriate medication useLearn various clinical services that pharmacies and health plans provide to membersConvey knowledge of clinical savings capabilities and opportunities in applied markets

Experience/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Pay Range: $18-23/hour
