Management Accountant

Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to support the Finance team. This role is based in Harrogate with the flexibility of hybrid working, offering a balance between remote work and office work within our brand new head office. This is a hands-on role where you'll take charge of the month-end preparation process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while upholding robust balance sheet controls. You’ll have the opportunity to shape and enhance the finance function by driving automation and identifying efficiency improvements. While experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, it’s not required. What’s most important is your ability to communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and tackle challenges with a proactive and solution-focused approach. Strong Excel skills and a passion for thriving in a dynamic, team-oriented environment will set you apart. Sustainability is an integral pillar at NaughtOne. In your role as a member of the Finance team, you will assume a pivotal role, actively contributing to the incorporation of sustainability considerations into the financial decision-making processes undertaken by NaughtOne. These efforts will continue to strengthen our commitment to sustainability and contribute to the development of NaughtOne’s sustainability strategy.

Responsibilities / Key Deliverables

 Assisting the FC with preparing month-end reconciliations and reporting

 Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to maintain integrity and accuracy of financial records

 Monthly cashflow forecasting

 Monthly group operations reporting

 Submission of quarterly VAT returns

 Sales commissions management and reports

 Assisting with annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts

 Preparation of annual P11Ds and Class 1A returns

 Providing support to the wider finance teams as required

Core Competencies

 Experience in management accounting, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations,

 Proficiency with MS Office and experience with MS Dynamics NAV preferred

 Strong organisational and time management skills for success in a fast-paced environment

 Strong communication skills paired with good problem-solving & analytical skills

 Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable

 A hands-on proactive, get things done attitude

Dimension of the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller and based from the Head Office in Harrogate, the role holder will be part of an immediate team of 6.

We are able to support WFH for up to 2 days / week.
