Responsibilities This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Office of Analytics. As a Management Analyst, you will: - Formulate, implement and improve governance policies and procedures on data quality, metadata and reference data. - Lead discussions among data stewards, Data Governance Board members and other stakeholders to improve data literacy across the organization. - Provide expertise in support of data modeling, data quality improvement projects, and efforts to establish a common lexicon. - Implement and maintain TTB's data governance tools, inventories and metrics. - Interpret and implement Federal requirements on data, such as the OPEN Government Data Act, DATA Act, Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act, and Geospatial Data Act. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Coordination of an organization's open data assets, including establishing a data inventory and publishing metadata using IT best practices and tools; AND - Developing and implementing formal policies and procedures, which support data governance programs; AND - Demonstrated experience improving data stewardship and data quality; AND - Interpreting and implementing various information management laws, such as the OPEN Government Data Act, DATA Act, Foundations for Evidence-Based Policy Making Act, Geospatial Data Act, Privacy Act, and Federal Records Act. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
