MANAGEMENT ANALYST
Summary You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the SUSTAINMENT GROUP of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities You will respond to inquiries and problems brought to the department by members of the staff and officials of DOD, NAVAIR, Naval Air Station, industry, local business community, state and local government, other Federal agencies, etc. You will exercise exclusive control over appointments, with complete authority for commitments of time. You will compose letters, memoranda, forwarding endorsements on letters of commendation and appreciation, and other such related correspondence. You will define problem areas and devises solutions through development of improved or refined methods, procedures, or organizational structures. You will review all documents submitted to the executive and ensure that they are in the proper format and that they follow the established procedures You will accomplish assigned projects of limited difficulty, either independently or as a member of a team. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one year of which was at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or NH-1 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Applying analytical methods and techniques in order to research, interpret and adapt guidelines to meet specific issues or individual situations and also to make recommendations to the command group concerning administrative matters. 2) Applying oral and written communication principles, practices, techniques and methods to a wide variety of duties and work situations; 3) Making all necessary arrangements for special visits, conferences, symposiums and other major activities and events; 4) Composing correspondence not requiring a technical knowledge and to maintain an awareness of the clerical and administrative practices and procedures related to the complex. .
