The primary areas anticipated to be assigned include but is not limited to: + Evaluation and acquisition of information, data, and management systems to support departmental managers and supervisors in carrying out their program planning, management, and decision-making responsibilities. + Evaluation of program operations, pricing strategies, program participant data, to determine the effectiveness of service delivery. This position performs advanced-level technical and analytical work in support of a large, complex department. Work may involve one or more of the areas of research/analysis, budgeting, project management, contract management, and/or process improvement. Normally completes work with substantial discretion and within broad parameters. Reports to the Department Director or Division Manager. The preferred hiring amount is between $78,194.65 - $83,661.50 Annually. Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. The City retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time. + Works with multiple stakeholders to research and develop administrative operations. + Plans and coordinates department operations and programs by conducting analytical studies, recommending needs, activity monitoring/reporting, coordinating workflow requirements across intra-and inter-departmental staff, determining resource needs/feasibility. + Develops, recommends, advises, implements, and oversees plans and programs for improvement in the performance, quality, compliance and efficiency of department operations and services to department management. + Assists in the development and revision of policies and procedures ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. + Edits, writes, and finalizes reports and makes presentations for a variety of audiences. + Represents Department on committees, task forces, and projects advocating for the Department’s needs and objectives in a collaborative approach; and may serve as a member on the department management team. + Evaluates City and community stakeholder groups and appropriate communication for updates on concerns, special projects, and matters of public interest; which may include conducting and/or developing satisfaction surveys. + Responds to department or program feedback, inquiries, customer concerns and requests, and facilitates resolution. + Determines priorities and audience involvement in Department activities. + Evaluates Parks and Recreation program operations, pricing strategies, cost analysis, and program participant data to determine the effectiveness of service delivery. + Evaluates, researches, and presents Parks and Recreation information, findings, data, and review of systems in order to support managers in program planning, management, and decision-making responsibilities. + Assists with the coordination of Parks and Recreation budget activities. + Responsible for appropriate use and maintenance of City equipment, tools, and other resources, including work time. + Regular and reliable attendance. There are certain provisions that must be met and the portability request must be executed within 18 months of vesting in the City's Plan. + Pension: + Choose from two options: + A Defined Benefit Pension plan pays a monthly benefit in retirement using a defined formula based on the employee's earnings history, tenure of service, and age. Our plan has a 5 year vesting period and an employee contribution of 5% of salary. + A Defined Contribution 401a plan in which fixed contributions are paid into an individual's account by the employer, the contributions are invested, returns (positive or negative) are credited to the account, and the account balance is used to provide retirement benefits. The vesting schedule for our 401a plan is 33% after one year of service, 67% after two years of service, and 100% after three years of service. There is no required contribution from salary.
