We are seeking an experienced Management Professional Liability Leader to lead our Management Liability & Professional product lines (D&O, Kidnap & Ransom and Cyber l) reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer. Although this position is based in Bethesda, Maryland OR on the East Coast, it is open to being remote.
Management Professional Liability Leader
The Management Liability & Professional Leader will be responsible for the oversight and management of an existing portfolio of programs and teams.. In addition, they will be responsible for developing new products and programs that will support the organizations underwriting profit & growth. This role is ideal for a strong people leader that will actively engage with our carrier partners, staff and producers to grow and expand the business.

Lead an underwriting team to achieve company goals for growth and profit in a sustainable fashion
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge regarding management liability and miscellaneous professional liability classes of business
Create growth strategy, identifying areas of opportunity to expand and launch new products
Provide exceptional service to our brokers and carrier partners
Effectively negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and carriers
Drive efficiencies and process improvements with a digital focus
Explore/expand distribution channels in conjunction with our distribution team
Motivate, lead and create a high performing team with a focus on diversity and inclusion
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent education and work experience
10+ years of underwriting and management experience in management liability
Proven track record in driving and transforming the business
Established network of management, underwriting, insurer and broker contacts
Experience with digital platforms and driving results through automation
Experience working on in a fast paced, agile environment with competing priorities and multi-faceted transformational projects
Proven leadership experience with focus on growing and developing team members to drive for outstanding results and create inclusive environment

The applicable base salary range for this role is $129,000 to $275,300.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
