Primary Responsibility:
Manage a 5-6 member Accounts Receivable collection team consisting of Collections Specialists, Senior Collections Specialists, and an Accounts Receivable Analyst.
What You’ll Do:
• Develop and manage the assigned collection team. Track activity and productivity levels.
• Partner closely with customers, operations, billing, and sales to resolve collection disputes.
• Build strong working relationships with operations, billing, sales, and customers.
• Develop a solid understanding of Warehouse and Transportation operations and billings so as to understand the true nature of billing disputes.
• Monitor customer account balances and guide team members in the resolution of issues.
• Proactively identify operational and billing issues and work to resolve them before they develop into collection problems.
• Proactively identify and communicate issues that may result in Accounts Receivable exposures.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports of the status of credit and collections and other operating statements.
• Proactively pursue improvements in process flow and system utilization.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and appraise team members.
• Other duties as requested.
What Experience and Education You Need:
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance as well as 5-7 years’ work experience including a minimum of 3 years of financial analysis experience and a minimum of 5 years of management/supervisory experience; or a relevant combination of education and experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Access.
• Oracle Cloud experience is preferred.
