What you'll do...

Are you interested in building the future of Walmart Fulfillment Services
(WFS)? In this role, you will be focusing on various short- and long-term
business strategies, covering growth and profitability, efficiency, and
scalability, by leveraging your expertise in data-driven decision making. This
role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact analytics projects that will
directly influence the organization’s top and bottom line through close
collaboration with key stakeholders.
The Manager II, Advanced Analytics is a critical thought-leadership role that
helps to shape the future of WFS Seller Success strategy.
High-impact work: This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact
analytics projects that will have a direct impact on the organization’s strategy.
Broad scope: This role allows to work on a wide range of analytics projects
across different areas of the organization, from planning and forecasting, site
traffic, to seller acquisition, performance, and retention.
Deep into the data: This role will be responsible for designing, building, and
implementing predictive models, developing algorithms, and leveraging
statistical techniques to provide recommendations that will support the
organization’s strategic goals.
Cross-functional collaboration: The candidates will have the opportunity to
utilize their data-driven insights and recommendations to influence key
stakeholders within and outside the organization, including Marketing, Seller
Acquisition, Account Management, Product Management and more.
The right candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in a startup
environment. This role is built for a creative problem solver with strong
analytics and data modeling skills. Communication and storytelling will also be
a crucial part of this role as you work with Senior Leadership and other key
stakeholders.
 You’ll sweep us off our feet if...

Creative problem solver: someone who can operate with minimal
direction. Constantly monitoring the business and identifying opportunities
and proposing solutions. Will ask the right questions and think about how to
solve the problem with limited resources available and when to ask for more.
Knowing when to trade off long term outlook for short term wins and vice
versa.
Model Development: with super strong analytics background and a deep
understanding of e-commerce business, builds and manages part of the
development and implementation of data models/ algorithms. Experience
with data engineering will be a plus. Focus on small projects within a business
area or category to help to direct proof of concept and prototype, implement
algorithms, and track and improve performance.Storytelling with Data: helps to prepare and deliver simple and
compelling data driven presentations to communicate analytical stories to
influence cross-functional partners (e.g., software engineering, account
management, operations) to gain buy-in and typically present work up to
senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement: develops the framework of performance
tracking and drives the continuous improvement of models/algorithms.
Collaboration: identifies use cases through cross-functional teams across
the organization and partners with senior leadership to develop and
implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and
analysis.

This candidate will make an impact by constructing a unified seller satisfaction
score and optimizing it relentlessly. This includes improving seller acquisition,
driving seller growth, and minimizing seller attrition. The candidate will be
responsible for both scalable analysis and strategy formulation that can be applied
and executed across a vast network of sellers.
Seller performance. The candidate will be responsible for setting proper goals for
existing top-tier sellers and establishing a system to monitor the performance at a
regular basis. Understanding the key drivers of the behaviors is crucial to tap into the
maximum potential of each seller.
Seller acquisition. The role requires the ability to track performance at each step of
the seller acquisition journey. The candidate needs to understand and capture the
challenges faced by sellers through their feedback and devise effective strategies to
overcome these obstacles.
Seller retention. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with data science
teams to develop models that forecast seller attrition, identify, and understand early
warning signals, and devise strategies to counter attrition behaviors.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00
