Oversee all aspects of ambulance service operations in accordance with NYS DOH regulations. Responsible for all aspects of patient care in the out of hospital setting within the scope of certification. Course Sponsor Administrator for EMS Sponsorship at MMH. Ensure EMS services are developed and planNed in conjunction with HAHV/WMC, state, federal and local government and communities as needed. Responsible for the coordination and integration of EMS between hospital and pre-hospital settings.
Responsibilities:
Assure agency compliance with NYS DOH Public Health Law and Bureau of EMS Policies. Assure appropriate available inventory of supplies & equipment. Assure mechanical maintenance of ambulances & equipment. Radio systems & pagers including in-servicing and inventory. Maintain medication inventory, outdates and exchanges and monitor controlled substances as per facility Pharmacy policy. All aspects of department budgeting (operating & capital) including development, submission, compliance, ordering & invoice processing. Department QI program development, monitoring, data collection and reporting. Process PCRs for data entry, billing, payroll entry and distribution. Staffing, scheduling, payroll entry. Assure proper staffing 24/7. Maintain all payroll records and entry to payroll system. Assure compliance with department and facility Policies & Procedures. Maintain training records and assure compliance with regional and state protocols &/or CME recertification. Monthly department meeting & in-service, minutes and correspondence. Maintain department Policies & Procedures, Coordinate with outside agencies. Administrator for EMS Course Sponsorship; oversee course activities, Policies & Procedures, vouchering, & compliance with NYS DOH regulations. All responsibilities of the Paramedic job description. Liaison between facility and EMS and Fire agencies. Attends local and regional EMS meetings. Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
5-7 years experience providing paramedic services, required. 1-2 years of supervisory management experience, required.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Assosicates Degree, preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid NYS EMT-P Certification. BLS Certification, required. PALS Certification, required. ACLS Certification, required. EVOC or equivalent, preferred.
