About the Role:
This leadership position manages the core development team and oversees the design and implementation of core banking solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the core development team, aligning technical strategies with business goals.
Oversee development, design, and implementation of core banking applications (Symitar).
Implement agile methodologies and ensure adherence to best software engineering practices.
Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to support integrated solutions.
Mentor team members, driving professional and technical growth.
Stay informed about emerging financial technologies and promote continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
6+ years of experience with financial institution technologies (e.g., Jack Henry, Symitar, MeridianLink, Encompass).
Expertise in software development methodologies, version control, and testing practices.
Proven leadership experience with strong coaching and team-building skills.
Strong influencing skills and experience collaborating with executive leadership.
Understanding of agile project management methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience developing and integrating core banking applications (e.g., Symitar/PowerOn/RepGen).
Experience with IBM’s AIX operating system, SQL development, HTML, and JavaScript.
ITIL framework knowledge and experience implementing engineering processes.
