What you will do

The Applications Manager will lead a team of Applications Engineers, coordinate applications development projects, and provide applications analysis for the FTIR and MS product line within Thermo Fisher's Environmental and Process Monitoring business unit. A successful candidate will evaluate gas analysis applications to broaden the scope of FTIR and MS capabilities, enhance commercial effectiveness, and support customer-facing marketing activities. As a crucial member of the product marketing team, the Applications Manager enables our customers to reduce emissions, make process decisions faster, improve product quality and protect the health of their employees!

Identify likely areas of emerging applications and propose applications solutions to Product ManagementWork with R&D and the Product Manager to define applications requirements for new productsTeam with sales professionals to cultivate new or target accounts, departments, key influencers according to sales plans.Lead a team of Applications Engineers, prioritizing applications development projects and mentoring junior colleaguesSupport the Senior Product Manager in defining the portfolio applications strategy

How you will get here

Education/Experience

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry (or similar) and 10+ years of experience. Masters Degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proficiency in process FTIR and Mass Spectrometry is requiredExperience with gas analysis is requiredAble to handle multi-tasking, deliveries, and timelinesExcellent organization skill, detail orientedExcellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $104,000.00–$140,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
