Job Overview
The Manager, Asset Protection ensures the safety and security of Supply Chain Associates and company assets by managing the Asset Protection function and team.
What You Will Do
Provide support and backup for the Director, Asset Protection. Oversee all aspects of Asset Protection operations to support company profit and service goals. Protect company assets, monitor alarms, and ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and property by enforcing security policies. Hire, train, and supervise the Asset Protection staff. Communicate with facility management and Supply Chain Asset Protection on shortage and security issues, recommending solutions as needed. Maximize partnerships with serviced stores to improve inventory accuracy, reduce shortage, and drive sales. Identify and investigate causes of shortage, including potential internal and external theft. Secure and monitor trailer movement in and out of the facility. Manage Asset Protection operations, including staff communication, workload balancing, scheduling, and processing standards. Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets. Ensure departments meet or exceed performance goals in safety, shortage reduction, cost control, quality, and customer service. Analyze activities, costs, and operations to assess progress toward department objectives. Develop and mentor direct reports to foster growth and performance excellence. Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication with subordinates, peers, and senior management. Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.
Skills You Will Need
Leadership & Team Management – Hire, train, and supervise Asset Protection staff while fostering team development and performance excellence.
Security & Loss Prevention – Identify and investigate shortage causes, enforce security policies, and ensure asset protection across the facility.
Communication & Collaboration – Maintain clear, timely communication with subordinates, peers, and senior management, and collaborate with facility leadership to address security concerns.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability – Analyze issues, recommend solutions, and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Operational Oversight – Manage scheduling, workload balancing, and adherence to processing and safety standards.
Budget & Performance Management – Assist in budget planning and ensure departments meet or exceed performance targets in safety, cost control, and quality.
Analytical & Decision-Making Skills – Assess operations, costs, and security risks to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Relationship Building – Maximize partnerships with serviced stores to improve inventory accuracy, reduce shortage, and support business goals.
Dependability & Initiative – Demonstrate a proactive, resourceful approach and maintain consistent attendance and reliability.

This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
