Manager, Assistant Ambulatory Care Nurse (Primary Care)
Overview Works under the guidance of the Ambulatory Care Nurse Manager assisting with leadership, direction, and technical expertise in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of ambulatory nursing services to maintain continuity of comprehensive care. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager, QM nurse, and other appropriate disciplines to assist with the education of staff and patients. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Associate’s degree from a 2-year college or technical school; no substitutions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS An additional three (3) years of experience in a related field. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should know Database software; Development software; Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a license as a Registered Nurse (RN) from the Oklahoma Board of Education (OBN) or possess a multistate RN license accepted by the OBN, no substitutions. Must maintain license throughout employment. Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and maintain throughout employment. Can be obtained during orientation. Must be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and maintain throughout employment. If not certified, ACLS must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire. The applicant/employee must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES None required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations and maintains strict confidentiality of patient information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives; risk of radiation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
