Position Summary Manager, Benefits (Health and Welfare)Recruiting for this role ends on November 20th, 2024.Work you’ll doIn this role, you will be responsible for managing, enabling and executing the US Deloitte LP health & welfare plans. As a Manager, you will lead and provide support for the operation of health and welfare plans including, but not limited to: Executing and reinforcing overall operational benefit strategies and initiatives Overseeing internal/external benefit systems and related workflows Managing and driving technical requirements needed to support benefits administrationLeading project management including open enrollment, acquisitions, and other special projects Ensuring regulatory compliance including filings, disclosures, plan documents and system configurationYou will regularly interface and provide guidance to multiple carriers, external vendors, the internal support center,  our professionals, and key stakeholders (e.g. OGC, PPMD Talent, M&A, Payroll, ITS), and will be responsible for managing participant escalations and providing subject matter expertise around complex projects and process improvements. Key responsibilities: Manage the implementation of new plans, programs, and changes to plans and/or administrative procedures. Sign off on documentation of process and technology change needs. Participate and approve business and technical specifications.Oversee the socialization and review process for plan design changes based on organizational mission and guiding principles, claims and industry experience, stakeholder feedback, and knowledge of best-practices. Partner with third-party benefits administration vendor to manage system rules and configuration and ensure data integrity through system audits and validations.Manage compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) while handling case escalations. Assess and identify unique cases to escalate to Management, OGC, or External Council for review. Manage preparation of reports and filings required by federal and state agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners and other regulatory agencies.Recommend program design changes in response to regulatory and plan updates, marketplace analysis, prevailing practices amongst similar organizations, and internal policy reviews.Drive and manage special and recurring benefits related projects and technology intiatives, including Deloitte and Conduent systems Ensure accuracy of vendor interface files and system configuration by partnering with internal and external stakeholders, as needed, and developing solutions to mitigate benefits administration issues.Direct, with legal and appropriate leadership consultation, preparation of benefit documentation such as Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary of Material Modifications, and  other regulatory notices and disclosures. Monitor internal system activity and process flows to gain awareness of data management activities to proactively identify any risks or process improvements. Review presentations/recommendations for leadership consideration around plan design, business requests, acquisition activities based on ongoing analysis of escalated cases and improvements in technology and process. Manage feedback process in an effective and timely manner. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 7 years of related experience Experience working with pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirementsDemonstrated experience working in Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams) Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.Ability to travel 0-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you servePreferred:Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders of all levels Experience leading and managing others in a virtual team environment Problem-solver with the ability to analyze, synthesize and draw conclusions from data Experience managing multiple projects against competing deadlinesStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000-$171,300.You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. EA_ExpHire; EA_TALENT_ExpHire Recruiting tips
