Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience working with Business Continuity and Emergency and Disaster PlanningMinimum 2 years experience working in Healthcare OperationsEMT-A, EMT-B, EMT-I; EMT Paramedic; Paramedic; Registered Nurse RNBachelors Degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security or Related Field.Registered Nurse must sign BSN agreement if BSN is not completedCurrent licensure may be waived for applicants who have attained one of the following certifications: Certified Professional Continuity Practitioner, Associate Business Continuity Professional, Certified Emergency Manager, Incident Command System Certified (IS100, 200, 700, 800)or National Incident Management System Instructor, First Receiver Awareness Instructor, Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters Degree PreferredSupervisory experiencePolicy and Procedure Development experiencePrimary responsibilities include:
Responsible for the coordination and oversight of system wide emergency operations and disaster preparedness procedures for the Sentara Healthcare organizationOversee budget development and grant distribution/ process/ system/ program analysis, development, implementation, facilitation, evaluation, restructuring, monitoring and/ or consultationCollaborates with Sentara Healthcare, Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association and the Eastern Region Healthcare Coalition, the Manager of Business Continuity nd Emergency Management will provide leadership, coordination and oversight of the equipment, personnel and activities related to disaster response and preparednessFor more than a decade, Modern Healthcare magazine has ranked Sentara Health as one of the nation's top integrated healthcare systems.
