Manager, 340B Operations Strategy
The Manager, 340B Operations Strategy plays a crucial role in the growth and success of Omnicell’s 340B business unit. As a key member of the team this role will report to the Director, 340B Operations Strategy & Program Optimization. This role will collaborate with various teams including 340B and Outpatient Pharmacy Services Implementation teams, 340B Data Acquisition teams, 340B Data Quality Support team, Advanced Services PMO and 340B Customer Relationship Management team.
The Manager, 340B Operations Strategy is responsible for devising and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize operations and drive efficiency across both the 340B business unit and entire organization. The ideal candidate will have successful background in retail, hospital or pharmacy IT implementations and operations, preferably in the 340B segment of the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for evaluating requests for innovative solutions from inception to roll out. Responsible for many sales operations functions as it relates to 340B consultations and corresponding 340B setup adjustment process. Responsible for ongoing commitment to Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Responsible for professional development and goal setting for direct reports that aligns with Omnicell’s strategic objectives. Responsible for ongoing direct report goal refinement due to shifts in WIP & related forecasting Assist in the leadership and coaching of direct reports – both existing and future employee onboarding Participate in establishing work demand forecasting, and ensuring proper advocacy for capacity planning, establishing best practices for adoption across 340B business unit, process/workflow consulting and employee education. Forging and maintaining strong relationships with division counterparts (Omnicell’s Business Development team, 340B Solution Advisor team, 340B Product Development, 340B Service Management Team, 340B Data Acquisition team, Omnicell’s Advanced Services PMO team and Omnicell Specialty Outpatient Pharmacy Services team) Support new customer prospect sizing and compilation of prospect specific onboarding milestones to assist with expectation management and to help secure new 340B business. Establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels with customers, prospective customers, pharmacy partners and industry vendors. Manage time and resources effectively to meet company objectives. Review and approval employee expense reporting. Maintain strong 340B industry and 340B product knowledge especially as it relates to manufacturers restricting access to 340B pricing. Participate in additional company strategic initiatives and special projects, as needed. Develop and regularly publish required metric and KPI related artifacts (4-block, scorecard, etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degrees in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field 5+ years’ experience managing people in an operations strategy focused role. 5+ years’ experience working in 340B contracting and/or implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with EMR systems (Example: EPIC, Centricity, Meditech, Cerner) Preferred background of 3-5 years working with pharmacy data and in-depth understanding of prescription claims adjudication and pharmacy prescription processing workflow
