Welcome to Global Engineering and Component Services where we have two open positions as managers for BWR Safety Analysis and Flow and Structural Analysis.
The teams are part of Global Engineering and Component Services (GECS) with more than 2000 engineers globally within Westinghouse. In the frame of engineering growth of GECS BWR Safety Analysis (SET) is created and since the manager of SES will transfer to a new role two manager positions are open.
BWR Safety Analysis works with BWR Operational transients and Stability. The team consists of 13 employees in the department but recruitment is ongoing. Flow and Structural Analysis has 22 employees including contractors and works with Flow analysis, Thermohydraulics, Structural Verification, VVER Safety Analysis and BWR LOCA.
As manager you have operational responsibility for the respective teams technical areas.
In addition to responsibility for personnel and coaching/development of employees, the role includes securing occupancy in projects for employees through close cooperation with sales organizations and internal customers.
Reporting is done to the head of NSSS Component and Manufacturing Engineering. The role includes developing cooperation with other departments within GES and to support the business within BWR Engineering Services.

You will work with your team to ensure that :
Projects are delivered with expected quality and within time and budget Cooperation within the team and with other relevant teams in GECS
You have a long-term vision for the development of the BWR Safety Analysis, including people, processes, products and cooperations. You work together with all stakeholders to develop and implement long-term strategies.
As a part of the management team, you will also take part in the follow-up and improvement of joint processes and structures.
The role is placed in Västerås, Sweden, with the option to work remotely a few days per week.

We see that you have a Master or Bachelor degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience. Preferably with experience from the technical areas within respective team. Experience of leading teams is meritorious. Fluent in Swedish and English is a requirement. To succeed in this role you have an interest in the technical areas, be responsive and structured will help.
