Manager, Campaigns
Grant Funded The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, is seeking a manager of grant-funded public health awareness campaigns. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Campaigns, this position will support the implementation of campaign strategies, activities, and deliverables targeting AAP members, other pediatric clinicians, and parents. Responsibilities also include assisting in the creation of multi-channel campaign materials, reviewing and editing content, and collecting and reporting data on campaign effectiveness. Some tasks include: + Assist in the creation of communications plans to achieve specific goals and objectives for campaigns to reach AAP members, other clinicians, and parent audiences. + Collaborate with staff teams to create multimedia content, social media, web content, newsletters, educational content, and other campaign related materials. + Write, edit, and review content to reach campaign goals and objectives ensuring accuracy, message alignment, and communications effectiveness. + Facilitate team meetings to ensure timely execution of campaign deliverables. + Coordinate with partner organizations and sponsors, as needed. + Collect campaign data and key performance metrics for campaign activities to evaluate effectiveness as it pertains to defined goals and objectives. + Create reports of campaign activities to track progress of deliverables. + Assist with other campaign-related projects as assigned. + Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualified candidates will possess: + Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health, digital marketing, journalism or related field required. + At least three years’ related experience in developing communications or digital marketing campaigns required, including project management, facilitating the development of communication materials, performance analytics, and collaborating with/supporting the work of external partners, organizations and sponsors to enhance public awareness. Experience in social marketing, market research, public/global health initiatives, and non-profit or association work strongly preferred. + Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, diplomacy, critical thinking, and verbal/written communication skills required. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously within strict deadlines, take initiative, work both independently and as part of a team, collaborate effectively with various internal and external constituents, and promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Strong technical acumen essential with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn and apply new technologies; experience with project management platforms, virtual meeting platforms (eg, WebEx, Teams), and document collaboration platforms (eg, SharePoint) preferred. Some travel and evening/weekend work required. Hybrid working arrangement of 40% on-site at our Chicago suburb headquarters in Itasca, IL.
