ROLE SUMMARY :We are looking for a Category Manager with a passion for the Beer Industry. This position will work in a team environment with a focus on leading the team in developing insights, finding opportunities and communicating recommendations to lead future industry growth to our external retail customers and internal partners. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :Lead, empower and drive strong engagement supporting work streams centered around both consumer analytics and planograms space analytics/designBuild positive relationship with retailer as trusted Category advisor across all areas of the Beer business by proactively seeing opportunities and communicating actionable solutionsOptimally communicate, handle and prioritize workload for the teamDevelop impactful category analyses and customize shopper insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources and content from our Center of ExcellenceSynthesize takeaways from various sources to build clear and impactful stories in a visually appealing mannerDevelop category strategy recommendations to drive growth based upon found opportunitiesDevelop and apply pricing tools to identify market opportunitiesPro-actively identify and communicate market level opportunities using standard weekly dashboardingProvide space allocation and assortment recommendationsAnalyze and recommend display and promotional optimization opportunitiesOptimally educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communicationsADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :Experience in JDA space planning softwareProficiency in data cleansingSophisticated proficiency applying Microsoft Excel to manipulate and prioritize dataSophisticated proficiency using Microsoft PowerPoint to prioritize and visualize the story line for presentationsStrong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, etc.)Strong familiarity with shopper panel information data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Retailer Loyalty data, etc.)Ability to understand information, develop insights and see opportunities when analyzing large data setsAbility to translate findings and recommendations into a concise and effective selling storyAbility to expertly present insights, opportunities, and recommendations to internal or external partners in a persuasive mannerStrong verbal and written communication skillsJOB QUALIFICATIONS :Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in business/marketingPrevious experience with consumer packed goods category management, sales, or syndicated researchUnderstanding of DSD, 3-tier system, and a strong knowledge of the retail environmentStrong analytical skills with all types of data, addressing retail customers, and computer proficiencyStrong background in category management tools, processes, and business consultingUnderstanding of shopper research and insights, familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measuresExcellent follow-up, communication, presentation, and leadership skillsWHY ANHEUSER-BUSCH:Anheuser-Busch has always dreamed big.
