The Concept and Color Manager works alongside the Concept Director in ideating seasonal storytelling and design initiatives. On a day-to-day, the Manager creates trend presentations (including runway, social media, competitive market), physical/digital color palettes and mood boards to support Retail/Outlet/Coachtopia/Special Projects teams. The Manager will work collaboratively across the entire Design department and larger cross-functional partners such as Global Merchandising, Visual Experience, and Creative Marketing to maintain consistent design language. Serve as an incubator for design inspiration and culturally relevant moments to push the brand forward. A keen eye for visual storytelling, elevated taste level and comfort presenting ideas is imperative. A background in graphic design is a plus.

Own the creation of seasonal color palettes for leather goods outlet and retail channels. Working cross functionally with design and merchandising leads to align on finalized palettes. Creates seasonal trend presentations for color which will be maintained and updated throughout the season.
Manages seasonal color palette, both digital and physical. Partner with Materials Management and Product Development in creation of PLM coding. Create, standardize, and digitize color palettes for cross-functional use in Adobe Illustrator and internal Coach servers.
Works in partnership with the Director of Concept to create dynamic seasonal trend presentations for design and merchandising outlining macro, market, and runway trends.
Research seasonal concept ideas that align with brand vision, story for the season, market trends and the global merchandising briefs. Propose new ideas for product platforms. Conduct creative research as it relates to collaborations, special projects, vintage research, and larger picture brand work.
Coordinate collection of materials, CADs, and samples for key milestones.
Owns product naming for runway styles, brand colors, and seasonal capsules. Works in collaboration with the 3D product development team on seasonal sampling decks.
Propose brand collaborators and work-for-hire designers for brand projects.
Craft pitch decks to share creative proposals to Design Leads and wider creative teams.
Oversee an apprentice in the management of the day-to-day tasks and organization of the concept department.
