Job Description Summary
The work of our of asset management professionals supports our nationally-recognized, mixed use developments in office, retail, sports, entertainment, hospitality and residential properties. If you have long-term vision and understand the value of portfolio development to maximize revenue and the customer experience, we want to know more about you!As an Asset Management Manager, you'll handle a portfolio of moderately complex real estate properties and achieve set performance targets. We'll count on you to perform due diligence and evaluate proposals and make recommendations for prospective real estate investments and dispositions.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Performs all underwriting and investment analysis for new direct-owned and joint venture properties. Duties include partner analysis, financial and market analysis, development and operating budget analysis, acquisitions and dispositions.
Performs all duties associated with owning and managing real estate portfolio including market analysis, review and approval of capital and operating budgets, negotiating leases, tenant relations, and dispositions.
Develops strategies to maximize value of the investment and bottom line accountability for performance within budget.
Reviews, advises and counsels on joint venture, organizational and deal structuring; participates in negotiations and review of legal documentation.
Provides advice and counsel on debt strategies.
Prepares recommendations about prospective real estate investments and dispositions.
Manages outside leasing brokers, architects, and consultants/contractors in acquiring and negotiating retail, restaurant and office leases, including active involvement in all aspects of negotiation.
Works in collaboration with Construction and Development, Legal, Property Management, Leasing, and Accounting teams.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in business or economics, with major in finance or real Estate. MBA in real estate or finance or JD with real estate practice is helpful.
Experience: Five years in real estate asset management, or commercial mortgage loan origination/analysis.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
