The Manager Commercial Banking Risk Management role enables the Bank to embed dedicated risk and control professionals into the First Line Units. These individuals will help to facilitate meeting the First Line Unit responsibilities set forth in the Risk Management Framework, raise general risk awareness, and share controls best practices with Commercial Banking colleagues.  General role activities include:

Risk and Control Self-assessments, across all Commercial lines of business, to identify and assess current and emerging risks.Issue management and remediation including the self-identification and self-reporting of inadequate controlsManaging and monitoring line of business risk metricsDocumenting and reporting risk acceptancesRisk and controls-related training and communicationExecute and support control testing activities

Job Description

Responsibilities

Facilitate enterprise risk program execution, quality assurance and reporting.Support/ develop Commercial Banking participation in RCSA, specifically process definition, control identification, procedural completeness, risk rating, and testing/ quality control opportunities.Drive effective Issue Management protocols within Commercial Banking by ensuring issues are properly documented and risk rated and remediation actions are sound and completed within timeline.Lead effective SOX control program executions, by ensuring controls are properly documented, understood by control owners, executed timely with quality, and managed.Participate in the creation, gathering and reporting of various risk/control/ performance metrics as related to Commercial Banking.Perform and document effective testing across a wide range of control activities/deliverables and communicating results with all stakeholders.Create action plans with senior leaders to remediate any noted deficiencies.Help prepare reports to senior management and executive committees on risk programs results, unmitigated risks with strategies and efforts to address, and assists with regulatory examination preparation.Remain knowledgeable about the business risks, current and emerging.Provides support for special projects and initiatives as appropriate.

Skills, Education and Experience Required

BS in related field requiredOperational risk management, enterprise risk management, audit experience required, project management and banking experience preferredAble to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations required.High level of professionalism, ability to effectively influence and develop relationships across the organization5+ years of experience working in a similar risk and control function either in first, second, or third line of defense.Meaningful experience in Commercial Banking Risk or related financial services field.SOX testing experience is a plus.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 USD to $100,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
