Job Summary The Manager, Commercial Finance will enable Newell Brands growth by providing financial analysis and decision support to US Sales, Finance, and internal business partners. These duties include collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading the Commercial Finance efforts for a specific segment within Newell's Walmart & Sam's Club business. This role reports to the Director, Commercial Finance for Walmart & Sam’s Club.
Responsibilities
Provide financial decision support to Newell Sales Teams to ensure delivery of plans. Actively monitor performance against key metrics (i.e. Customer P&L, Trade Checkbook, etc.) and help drive efficiency and ROI of investments Champion local execution of pricing and channel strategies Partner with account teams to development sales volume forecasts and own the subsequent P&L forecast and analysis Own month and quarter-end close financial reporting and communication with internal partners Drive financial process efficiency including the development and refinement of reporting and analytical tools Assist account teams in preparation for both internal and external business reviews and events through financial analysis and modeling Ensure ongoing governance, control, and compliance with corporate policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline. MBA is preferred Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a finance or RGM role Ability to work independently and proven success in a fast paced, matrixed organization. Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise reports and presentations. Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and using financial systems and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and leaders Consumer goods experience preferred
