Manages activities within the organizations financial analysis functions
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses to assess business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management
Business Partnering: Collaborate with Commercial Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Information Technology, and Operations teams to evaluate new opportunities, assess pricing strategies, cost determination, and other financial metrics
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue and cost of sales highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance driving accountability across the company
Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior leadership, highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities using disparate data sources. Ensuring all reports generated by the Commercial Finance Team are updated/accurate and automated
Strategic Projects: Provide thought leadership on strategic initiatives and projects, providing financial expertise and ensuring alignment with financial goals
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of Commercial Finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives by providing concise data driven metrics
Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate utilizing the Commercial Finance team with data driven outcomes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certifications (like CPA or CFA) is preferred
7+ years of experience in commercial finance, financial planning & analysis, or related roles
Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and present insights clearly
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
Proven leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in the MS Suite of products, ability to manage through large datasets, and produce concise metrics
Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated
Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management and non-management levels within the company, and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to turn end-user requirements into actionable tools and insights
Ability to align financial goals with business strategies and objectives
Foster a collaborative team atmosphere
