Job Description Summary:

The Commercial Planning Manager will be accountable for managing the “day of” logistics for all the Commercial Planning meetings (e.g., Conceptual Sell, Ready to Sell, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to, managing agenda development, content coordination, production (run of show, rehearsals, etc.), attendee lists, registration process, communications, and providing oversight for other event logistics (e.g. transportation, vendors, food & beverage, displays, etc.). The ideal candidate should be well-organized and with a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and a sound knowledge of relationship management are vital skills in this role. Creative thinking is an asset to help bring differentiated ideas and fun to our routines! 

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities 

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: This Manager will need to network with a wide variety of entities in the course of their job. This person will need to have a general knowledge of the business and support development of the event strategy to ensure event delivers on audience needs and expectations. Communication should incorporate needs for internal partners, content contributors and supporting teams, attendees, and vendors for events to function properly. This role will manage all aspects of the Communications strategy with key partners.  

Team Management: This role will carry out many tasks on their own, but a major aspect of the job is working with a team. Delegating to a team properly and making sure everyone has what they need to do their job requires team management, clear and consistent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.  

Budgeting: It’s this role’s responsibility to keep costs within the allocated budget across all events and within broader team budget. This role will also help facilitate and execute budget management for team events, Sales Rally kits, and more. This will require a degree of financial skill as well as the ability to create accurate reports.  

Logistics: Everything in an event, from the seating to the entertainment, must be set up in a practical manner for the guests. To accomplish this, this person must possess a degree of skill in logistics to properly plan the details and anticipate potential problems that may arise. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

Associate's Degree in business, meeting and event management or similar field 

Bachelor's degree preferred 

1-2 years project management or event planning experience with large, fast-paced organization 

Strong communication and problem-solving skills 

Excellent organizational & time management skills to meet deadlines

Pay Range:

$103,000 - $121,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
