What does our Compensation Manager do?
The Manager of Compensation will lead the day-to-day management of compensation administration, including benchmarking, job leveling and grading, and compensation projects, across North America. This position is responsible for leading the planning, implementing, and communicating all compensation initiatives.
This role will oversee a variety of compensation-related activities, including annual pay programs across North America to ensure a consistent and streamlined approach for delivering programs.
The Manager will engage daily with the compensation team to ensure there are established documented processes for all activities. This position will also establish a regular auditing cadence for all compensation-related activity. This role will serve as a subject matter expert and be a resource for HR COEs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manages at least 2 full-time exempt direct reports. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity, and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.Manages and drives the execution of compensation initiatives across North America.Builds the analytical capabilities within the team to enhance base and variable pay programs to create a comprehensive total rewards package.Leads the team to analyze market competitive position, compliance, and program effectiveness.Acts as champion and change agent by anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value-added services for the benefit of teammatesCreates comprehensive communication plans and leads a team to execute communications to the field and functions for all programs and initiatives.Provides expertise to ensure that programs and processes are compliant with regulatory and provincial requirementsSupports the design of Best in Class compensation programs and initiatives, including Rewards & Recognition.Supports M&A in all compensation-related matters.Collaborates effectively with the functional disciplines in the HR COEs to provide guidance and share best practices with local teams along the end-to-end rewards processOther duties and projects as assignedWhat do we offer?

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, Master’s degree preferred5 years in a compensation role with progressive responsibilityCPP certification a plusExperience in the implementation, and administration of various types of compensation programs including the development and maintenance of pay structures and annual pay programsExperience across multiple areas, including experience delivering on a wide range of initiatives.Experience developing and presenting analysis, and findings to Senior LeadersStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate and influence cross-functionally at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving orientation with enthusiasm for digging into and solving cross-functional business, operational, and organizational issuesExcellent listening skillsExperience in M&A projects, and/or integration projects is a plusDemonstrable working knowledge of wage & hour concepts, laws, and regulations, and human resources systems and reporting toolsIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications, Workday experience preferredMust pass pre-employment background screenWhy Choose Us?
