JOB SUMMARY:
Position is responsible for the strategic development of Textron Aviation’s compensation plans and programs. Administers global salary plans for executive, exempt, non-exempt, and bargained employees to ensure internal equity with current pay practices. Provides professional consultation and guidance to management and HR staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for overall planning and direction of compensation activities; including, establishment of objectives, development of annual budget conformance, developing conceptual approaches, establishing priorities, appraising performance, and delegating assignments. Serve as primary contact with senior management.
· In conjunction with appropriate management, develops sales compensation plans which will motivate the sales force to attain the organization’s sales objectives and ensure the company’s competitive posture is sound. Monitor sales performance and sales compensation payments to ensure compensation is reflective of sales performance against objectives. Recommends changes as appropriate.
· Develops and recommends salary structure revisions based on competitive compensation data, general economic conditions and the company’s business situation. Participates in the evaluation of all salaried exempt jobs throughout the company.
· Reviews all salary increase proposals not in compliance with approved guidelines. Obtains rationale and, as necessary, identifies alternative courses of action with management.
· Plans, develops, and conducts local, regional, national, global and industry wage salary surveys. Interprets the results and makes recommendations to ensure the maintenance of the company’s compensation objectives.
· Interprets and ensures compliance with state and federal wage and salary laws and regulations.
· Align compensation programs with recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates.
· Responsible for annual merit and promotion cycle.
· Develops and maintains effective communication mechanisms to ensure leaders and employees understand our compensation philosophy.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, or related field
· Minimum 7 years experience in Compensation, Finance, Human Resources, or Business related function
· Prior leadership experience
QUALIFICATONS:
· Verbal and written communication skills in a professional business environment (grammar, ability to communicate with varying levels of professionals, vocabulary, and presentations)
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Advanced proficiency in PC applications; including, Microsoft Office
· Attention to detail
· Aptitude for process improvement
