Manager, Consolidation and Fulfillment Operations

The 2nd shift Manager, Consolidations and Fulfillment will be responsible for building, developing, and managing a single site or a large operating unit with a site.  Direct reports would consist of Operations Managers, Supervisors and Associates within a given site.. The Senior Manager, Consolidation and Fulfillment will drive the operational processes of the operating centers and will provide hands-on leadership and direction of all functions of single or multi-client operation including warehouse, pick/pack/ship, and logistics management. To be successful in this role, one must build, maintain, and continuously improve an infrastructure that includes inventory control, warehouse, and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and positive profit margins.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for a single site location or revenue qualified support within a site  Direct the course of operations and coordinate operational functions and processes aligned with business goals  Plan and execute strategic growth initiatives within a site or department Monitor daily performance of all operations and management by taking action to maintain operational compliance with all company policies, procedures, and cost control objectives  Manage and drive improvements to the P&L  Establish KPIs and metrics to track and report on performance of processes and transform data into actionable insights and recommendations  Assist in the designing and implementation of warehouse processes, configuration, mechanization, and automation to create an effective and efficient fulfillment operation  Develop and maintain standard operating procedures  Hire, train, and develop high performance teams and assist in development and implementation of performance management processes, along with individual/team recognition for strong performance and timely intervention on all performance/behavioral concerns  Work cross-functionally with the other teams in the facility  Create a positive, accountable, and dynamic work environment by personal engagement and coaching throughout all levels of the organization  Create and maintain an environment that leverages outside-the-box thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset that challenges the status quo 

Minimum Qualifications  

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University preferred; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  An operational background with a continuous improvement track record is required.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
