This Manager, Contracts supports the Undersea Systems Program Area within the Naval Systems and Sustainment Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU). 

Primary responsibilities include serving as the Contracts Lead for a diverse portfolio of U.S. Government contracts in support of the AN/AQS-20C Mine-Hunting Sonar.

In this highly visible role, you'll provide contractual guidance and support to the business, programs and proposal teams and across all phases of the contract lifecycle.

This position must reside within 50 miles of our Portsmouth, RI site location with expectation to be onsite to collaborate and support the program team.

Responsibilities to Anticipate: 

Front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration.Lead change management initiatives that recognize and eliminate ambiguities or unauthorized changes that could result in cost overruns, schedule delays, and performance issues.Ensure contract requirements are fulfilled in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Manage customer relationships and advise Program Management on Raytheon’s contractual rights and obligations.Provide contracts leadership to a cross functional team to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and drive closure on complex contractual matters.Ability to adapt to a challenging, and exciting teaming environment.Exercise sound judgment with minimal oversight.Excellent written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experienceExperience reviewing and drafting various contractual documents, such as Letters, Statement of Work (SOW), Request for Proposals (RFP’s) or similarExperience working with U.S. Government acquisition and related regulations, such as FAR, DFARS, and ITARThe ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
