Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Naval Power Strategic Business Unit. This role will be supporting the Naval Shipboard Missiles sub-business, providing contract management support of significant scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract execution. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working with collaborative, cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills.

This position role type is currently designated as onsite.  Applicants should be located within 50 miles of Andover, MA Tucson, AZ or El Segundo, CA

What You Will Do

Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies

Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships

Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration

Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly

Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise

Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks

Some travel may be required to support meetings and negotiations. Expected up to 20% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Experience working with U.S. Government (USG) contracts to include Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)

Experience with proposal development

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)

Ability to partner with others, work in a team environment, and defer to management as appropriate

Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills

Comfortable working in an environment with established company policies and procedures

Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers

Business acumen with financial understanding of the business

Effective critical thinking and interpersonal skills

Ability to think strategically

Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently or similar project management or coordination

Advanced Degrees such as JD Law Degree or MBA or relevant Contracts Certifications such as CPCM or CFCM

Active US Government DoD Secret Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
