**This is a hybrid role based out of our office in New York, NY.**
**The Target Pay Range for this position is $92,000 - $115,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.**
**Job Purpose/Overview**
The Mars Petcare Division, Science & Diagnostics, is looking for a communications specialist to help us engage with key internal and external audiences about advances in science, data and technology. We are looking for someone who believes, like us, that a research-driven enterprise dedicated to world-class pet veterinary diagnostics can succeed by discovering and ultimately delivering science, health technology and data-led innovations that drive our Purpose to make A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS.
As the Manager, Global Science & Diagnostics Communications you will drive awareness of our diagnostics business across veterinary and at-home diagnostics to internal and external audiences. You will also help explain the latest diagnostics innovation and scientific findings and discoveries to internal and external audiences, manage communications and relevant activities related to publications, conferences, brand/corporate communications and internal events. You will be able to help communicate complex and technical research papers for different audiences internally and externally and across different channels including media, social and digital.

We are looking for a collaborative individual who is passionate and curious about technology and scientific impact and who has a knack for making complex topics simple.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop content for internal and external audiences to help increase understanding of our businesses and drive relevant engagement. This will include organizing and supporting events at different sites and ensuring consistency of in-person and virtual engagements across the division.
+ In partnership with regional marketing teams and across Mars Petcare, drive channel management for communications, including owned social, ensuring the right information is going to right audiences in a timely and planful way.Help maintain an integrated content/editorial plan and calendarand a timely dissemination plan for ensuring websites, social channels across the division sites and channels, as well as Mars Petcare and Mars Inc network remain up to date with accurate information
+ Drive cadence of social media postings connected to national & international awareness days, as well as drafting posts for senior leaders in the NA region linked to internal events & activities
+ Responsible for content creation for quarterly newsletters in NA region
+ Ensure continuous improvement of comms by establishing measurement / and impact - through competitive awareness, benchmarking, message penetration, audience identification.
+ Work in collaboration with Corporate Affairs teams across global Mars Petcare and Mars Inc and establishways to continuously improve by capturing insights and external communications best practices, and then acting on the information.
+ Support wider team in the adoption of AI tools to simplify work processes across CA
+ Other tasks and duties as they come up and as agreed with line manager.
**Experience** **&** **Qualifications**
+ Must have relevant and proven experience (minimum of 5-6 years)in-house and/or agency communications, &/or Public Relations/Communication Degree or Diploma
+ Must have some background in communications in the human or animal medical, health, or tech fields.
+ Some media relations experience.
+ Comfortablewith writing translational communications and brand/product communications for different audiences and channels.
+ Proven experience of creating digital content and working across teams on integrated communications plans & executions is essential.
+ Ideally will have an understanding of/experience with peer-review publication process, and how to manage communications around these in a relevant and time-sensitive way.
+ Demonstrable understanding of website UX/SEO, social media and content platforms, how they can support the business and how to deliver is essential.
+ Fluency in English.
