The Role

The Corporate Procurement Manager is responsible to manage sourcing and procurement activities purchased directly by Wyndham.  Indirect spend categories may include, but are not limited to, Marketing, Facilities, Human Resources, Financial Services, Corporate Travel, Contingent Labor, and Property IT, and related Professional Services.  This individual will respond to procurement requests from internal stakeholders (customers) and propose sourcing projects based upon an analysis of spend data.  They will work closely with the business to identify and then source procurement needs, ensuring that the organization achieves its objectives with contracted suppliers, and where needed, assist with contract disputes post execution.

What you'll do Work cross-functionally to develop category strategies that will deliver year-on-year value for Wyndham. Work with customer to understand procurement needs and opportunities, conducting financial and inventory analysis to provide recommendations on sourcing strategies. With assistance, research market to identify potential suppliers and products, aligning with customer on in-scope supplier selection.   Develop RFx’s for distribution to suppliers, analyze responses, conduct due diligence, and recommend best supplier. Negotiate prices, terms and conditions, and fees favorable to Wyndham.   Lead the contract review and redline process with Legal, customer, and other required departments, leading negotiations with supplier until agreement is reached.   Communicate results of sourcing decisions to department management and staff, and customers. Maintain and enhance relationships with contracted suppliers and internal stakeholders to stay apprised of upcoming procurement activities. Provide timely response to internal and external requests for information / issue resolution related to assigned suppliers / contracts.

Ability to present clear, concise recommendations to internal customers. Ability to formulate and articulate strategies.  Ability to drive results from recommended strategies and negotiations. Ability to work under pressure and within short timeframes. Excellent customer service skills. Sense of urgency, as internal and external customers expect rapid response. Strong negotiation skills, knowledge of contracts. Strong analytical skills. Strong PC skills (MS office). Required Qualifications/Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, experience in the hospitality industry a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
